Hi folks, I’m Graham
I’m 40 years old and happily married with two beautiful children - my wife and children are my world and the only real inspiration I need in life. Photography has been an avid interest and passion of mine for over 12 years. I started off photographing landscapes, but the more I became obsessed with learning the art of photography, the more I ventured into other genres, which leads me to where I am today - photographing weddings and portraiture. I have a 2:1 Honours degree in music, another passion of mine. However, once my kids came along, making noise past 6:30pm wasn’t an option in the studio in my house. Photography filled this creative gap in my life and before I knew it, my music studio had been transformed into a photography editing suite. Any spare time that I have, you will find me wandering around the Scottish highlands ticking off a Munro or two or enjoying the odd summit camp.
I am an introverted person and this is reflected in my wedding photography approach - you won’t find me being intrusive during the ceremony. Although subtle direction is needed during family portraits and the post ceremony couple shoot, most of the images I take throughout the day will be candid. Whilst all special moments will be captured, I feel strongly about giving couples space and time to mingle with their guests at their wedding - no one wants to be standing fake smiling in front of a camera for an hour. Everyone, including the couple, are there to enjoy and savour the moment.
Photographing a wedding is one of the most rewarding experiences. Being able to create timeless images that will be shared through family generations, is immensely gratifying. I love that wedding photography gives me the opportunity to get creative, yet more importantly it makes people happy.
